Wood · Double-Sided
A double-sided cedar fence with the same finished face on both sides, so neighbors on either side of the line see the same clean look.
Built from #1 grade 1-inch by 4-inch cedar tongue-and-groove boards, this double-sided fence uses post-between construction with decorative posts and caps, so the finished face looks the same on both sides of the fence line. Cedar naturally resists rot and insects, which lets the boards hold up outdoors for years without chemical treatment. The tongue-and-groove joinery keeps the boards tight against each other for a fully private, gapless panel. Panels run from 3 to 8 feet high, and an optional lattice or spindle topper in 12-, 18-, or 24-inch heights adds height and detail while keeping the double-sided look intact. Contractors can upgrade to 1x6 cedar boards, cedar 2x4 back rails, or doweled 2x3 rails for extra strength and a heavier feel on higher-end jobs.
