A semi-private board-on-board cedar fence that lets light and air through while giving both sides a finished look.
This semi-private board-on-board wood fence is built from #1 grade 1x4 cedar boards, alternating vertical boards and gaps so air and light pass through while the overlap still blocks direct sightlines. It's assembled post-between with decorative posts and caps, and it's sized from 3 to 8 feet to fit anything from a low garden border to a full privacy line. The line can be dressed up with a lattice or spindle topper in 12, 18, or 24 inch heights, and upgraded with 1x6 cedar boards or heavier 2x4 cedar back rails and doweled 2x3 rails for jobs that call for extra rigidity. It's a good middle-ground sell for customers who want more privacy than a picket but don't want a solid wall, residential or otherwise.
