The material read
Sun is what usually kills a white picket fence here, and vinyl is the one material that shrugs it off, holding color through years of south-facing exposure. Mildew settles on damp shaded runs and rinses off with a hose. The vulnerability is winter impact at knee height: a snowblower discharge or a shovel edge can snap a cold picket at the rail.
