How much does a pet fence cost in Massachusetts?
Request a project quote. Fence height, mesh type, dig protection, gates, removal, and ground conditions shape the installed price.
How tall should a fence be for a dog?
Four feet stops most dogs. Five to six feet is more realistic for shepherds, huskies, and anything with a running start, and even then a climber needs a smooth interior face. Small dogs need the opposite attention: the gap underneath matters far more than height.
Is a physical fence better than an invisible fence?
For containment yes, and for protection it is not close. An invisible fence relies on the dog choosing to obey a correction, and it does nothing to keep coyotes, loose dogs, or people out. A physical fence still works when the collar battery dies and when the power is out.
Will a chain link fence hold up to a dog that chews?
Yes, better than most alternatives. Powder-coated chain link gives a chewer nothing to grip and no edge to work on, which is why we recommend it over vinyl or wood for chewers. The failure point is the gate, so gates get heavier hardware than the run.
