The material read
Composite handles New England the way a composite deck does. It ignores rot, insects, and salt air, and it stays impact-tolerant at temperatures where PVC turns brittle. The tradeoff is movement. Boards expand and contract with heat, so ends are cut with deliberate gaps sized to the temperature on install day. A run built tight in February will buckle in August.

Worth it in two situations. If the fence will get hit by plows, equipment, or kids, composite absorbs cold-weather impacts that crack PVC. If the fence is a front-facing design element, composite reads as wood from the sidewalk while vinyl reads as vinyl. On a quiet back line, vinyl does the same job.
Some fading is normal in the first year or two, especially in darker grays and browns, after which color holds. Warping is an installation issue rather than a material one. Composite grows and shrinks with temperature, so boards need end gaps sized to the day they go in.
Twenty-five to forty years is fair here, longer than vinyl and far longer than untreated wood. Frost, salt air, and snow load do not shorten it. What limits composite is surface wear and fading rather than structural failure, so an old composite fence looks tired well before it becomes unsafe.
