It's built from clear western red cedar, which naturally resists rot and insects and holds up outdoors with only basic upkeep. Standard heights run 3 to 6 feet, with special heights available for jobs that fall outside the usual range, and the rail system can be upgraded to 2x4 cedar or 2x3 cedar doweled construction for extra rigidity. It's a step up from a plain picket for customers who want more architectural detail on a residential job.
